Getting started

Non-Exam Assessment, step by step

Certain subjects require an NEA component alongside written exams. Here's the route our Birmingham candidates follow, start to finish.

1

Meet your tutor

A short introductory call to discuss your topic and book your required 4 hours — split into 1-hour slots if that suits you better, online or face-to-face at our Birmingham centre.

2

Follow the guidance

Your tutor gives focused feedback in each session. Applying it closely is what turns a decent draft into your strongest possible submission.

3

Complete your sessions

Work through all scheduled sessions, refining as you go. Aim for a polished draft well ahead of the deadline — not right up against it.

4

Complete the required paperwork

You and your tutor sign the exam board's authentication documents. Some subjects need extra forms — mandatory, as boards won't accept coursework without them.

5

Receive your feedback

Once marking's complete, you get your coursework mark and detailed feedback — confirmation your work is ready to go forward to the board.

Always communicate

Stay in touch with both your tutor and our Birmingham centre throughout. If something isn't working with your tutor, tell us — we'll arrange an alternative so your coursework stays on track.
